Military families have already thanked the Annapolis Joint Directorate and the Naval Exchange. The construction team is now officially recognized by Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc (ABC) – Chesapeake Shores Chapter.

Employees of the project's general contractor, KBE Building Corporation (KBE), were awarded the 2015 Construction Excellence Award ($10-100 million Federal/Military) at the Chapter's 2015 Construction Excellence Dinner held at the Westin Hotel Annapolis in 2015. . September 24th.

The project achieved LEED Silver certification, in part because of the unique way it collects rainwater on site. The KBE construction team had to adhere to strict environmental controls during construction to protect the vulnerable Chesapeake Bay harbor area.
The Joint Commissary and Navy Annapolis is the second of three KBE construction projects by the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). The company also built a $14.5 million, 57,000 s/f commission in Groton, Connecticut, and is building a $2.5 million, 53,000 s/f Fleet Exchange in Millington, Tennessee.
Beyond construction, KBE supports service members and their families through its corporate charity program, 50 Ways to Make a Difference. Founded in 2009 to mark the company's new ownership, name change, and 50th anniversary in business, 50 Ways, KBE donates more than $1.7 million and 9,000 volunteer hours for veterans, children and seniors in Connecticut and Maryland helped to do it

Are Veterans Only Subject to the Purple Heart and Disabled Veterans Equity Act of 2018? Eligible persons must obtain a VHIC veterinary health identification card from the VA to facilitate Department of Defense and Coast Guard installations and privileged access.
