In his glory days, Jetfire was a skilled Decepticon soldier. He was one of the best of the best. He was one of Fallen, Seeker's best workers. The seekers were meant to find the tomb of the Primes. The Fallen betrayed them and left Jetfire on Earth. He vowed to become an Autobot and fell into a deep sleep. He awoke only to turn into Black-eared; and fell asleep again. Despite his age, Jetfire is still a formidable fighter, as shown when he single-handedly destroys Mixmaster and kills Scorponok even after being mortally wounded.

Metal Earth Sr 71 Blackbird

Jetfire is a seeker sent to find the Solar Combine and the Matrix on Fallen Earth. It is very old and doesn't work very well unlike those old bots. At some point on Earth, it took the form of an SR-71 Blackbird spy plane and entered a stasis block, ending up at the National Air and Space Museum.

After finding out where he is from Wiley, Sam Witwicky, Mikaela Bays, Leo Spitz, and Seymour Simmons head to the museum to find him. According to Wiley, he was a great seeker, if not a Leader. The All Spark piece belonging to Sam Witwicki got him out of stasis lock and people feared him after learning that he was a Decepticon from his alt mode character.

Jetfire didn't think they were worth his time and tried to break out of the hangar, but failed due to his weapon malfunctioning, so he just left. The people and Willie follow him out and find out he's run away. After a few minutes of biting Mikaela when he found out what he had done, Willy officially sided with the Autobots. After Sam explains the markings he saw and drew on the ground and summons the Fallen, Jetfire remembers his mission and uses the space bridge to teleport the group to Egypt along with Bumblebee, Wheelie, Skids, and Mudflap. There, he explained the story of the Fallen to the group and gave them the advice he had decided before delivering his mission. Jetfire then stayed where the space bridge had taken them.

During the final battle at Giza, Jetfire appears to have helped by flying in its lower mode, leaving smoke behind. Jetfire is slightly knocked down, but gets back up and attacks Mixmaster, who is pinning people down. Jetfire cleaves Mixmaster in half with his battleaxe, hitting his head and dies, but Scorponok attacks him. Scorponok drills into Jetfire's abdomen, mortally wounding him before pulling Scorponok and pinning him to a wall. Scorponok breaks free and attacks again, but Jetfire throws him to the ground and collapses. Scorponok charges the weakened Jetfire again, but Jetfire crushes Scorponok's head with his fist, killing him, crying "I'm too old for this shit." When Sam revives Optimus Prime, Jetfire is shocked to see a living Prime, and panics when Fallen appears and crushes the weakened Optimus into the dirt and steals the Matrix to activate the Solar Combine. Realizing that as Optimus Prime, he is the only one who can stop the Fallen, Jetfire tells Optimus that he will do his part to defeat the Fallen, extinguishing his spark, killing himself in the process. Jolt and Ratchet attach the Jetfire parts to Optimus and use them to defeat Megatron and kill the Fallen despite losing the engine. After the battle, Optimus discards the Jetfire parts and it is unknown what happened to them. : Revenge of the Fallen

After explaining the story of Prime and the Fallen, Jetfire is approached by another seeker in a biplane (possibly the unnamed Seeker Ransack), who finds him through a space bridge he opened. The Seeker started yelling and screaming at Jetfire and Wheelie, calling them traitors. The seeker makes a vicious attack on him and retaliates by stomping on him with his foot. Then he says that he never liked the seeker.

Jetfire becomes the SR-71 Blackbird. His jet mode is so big that it makes Autobot Leader Optimus Prime from the first movie look like a Legends figure next to a Voyager class figure (in other words, he's twice the size of Leader Prime). Like other "jetformers" (robots that turn into airplanes), its robot part is clearly visible on the bottom. His humanoid mode consists of a stick made from a lander, armed with a rocket-firing mini-pistol. Jetfire will indeed be teaming up with Optimus, as has been said in every piece of information about the new movie. He might say, "Jetfire is my name." in a bad Scottish accent that doesn't sound like his movie voice at the click of a trick button. It also features flashing lights, transformation sounds, and a high-speed jet sound. Like most airplane themes, it's a slick airplane with an obscene amount of templated junk consisting of robot parts. If you misplace it, it falls easily and can barely balance without a stick, and its parts also like to bounce off it during transformations. I think the toy fits the movie...

A much smaller and simpler version of his Leader incarnation, Jetfire has none of the features of the larger toy, but his wand is wrapped around his left arm. It can also be combined with Legends Prime, by placing a tab on the back of Prime's neck at the top of his jet mode, you can arrange your limbs in the way that looks best. He also has duck feet.

This is the only version of Jetfire that is packaged with a Decepticon label and printed with Decepticon insignia, all other versions have Autobot labels. There is a second version of this toy with a different, less obvious helmet.

Fast Action Battler Jetfire is a simplified, roughly Deluxe-sized toy from Jetfire. In vehicle mode, it transforms into some kind of cute, super-deformed SR-71 Blackbird jet. As with most toy planes, it has a lot of template junk from the robot mode, but not to the extent of the Leader class toys. In robot mode, he closely resembles Jetfire's design, although his right arm ends in a spring-loaded shooter that looks like a spinning ball.

The main point: black projects can be kept in the dark, but not forever. Here's how people eventually found out about the existence of the SR-71 Blackbird.

Few classified projects resemble the United States Air Force's black projects, and this was certainly the case for the famous SR-71 Blackbird.

The SR-71 was no ordinary plane, but a large, beautiful, and state-of-the-art spy plane designed for high-altitude, high-flying protection over the Soviet Union in the 1950s and early 1960s. 2 Lady Dragon. It was vulnerable to the then new surface-to-air missiles.

Designer Lockheed and the Air Force treated the project with great secrecy, and while it was still top secret, the CIA recorded any hints that journalists, analysts, or civilian aircraft controllers heard of the plane's existence. It didn't matter who suspected. When taxi drivers at the airport spread rumors about secret deals at Lockheed, the agency wanted to know.

Beginning in 1958, Lockheed engineers quietly worked on the aircraft at the company's Skunk Works in Burbank and an isolated Nevada Air Force base to keep the program secret. The first Blackbird flew four years later.

The government kept the Blackbird quiet because it was an experimental aircraft and the first stealth aircraft due to its radar-reflecting design. The extreme performance of the SR-71 — Mach 3.3 at 25,000 feet — was a subtle detail.

However, aviation experts and the press looked into the project and did so relatively quickly, sometimes through speculation, according to a recently released official history of the CIA obtained by Attic.org.

The first outsider was retired Admiral John B. Pearson, who worked for North American Aviation, which built the legendary F-86 Saber and X-15 missile planes. Since his job was to study the military aircraft industry, in April 1962 he suspected that the Air Force, Lockheed, and the CIA were up to something big.

He had several reasons for his suspicions. First, Lockheed's chief designer of the SR-71, Clarence "Kelly" Johnson, proved difficult to reach. Pearson also suggested to a friend who worked at the Hughes Aircraft Company that engineers developing the company's GAR-9 missile should help Lockheed's secret aircraft program, since the F-108 Rapier was the only known aircraft capable of launching the missile.
